The Initial Launch With Barcelona Brand Susmies

In 2019, two friends from Barcelona boarded a plane to Nepal. What they brought back wasn't just inspiration - it was a name, a story, and the foundation of one of the most exciting independent fashion brands.

Marina and Laia met a young girl called Susmita on that trip. Her story stayed with them. So they named their brand after her.

Since 2021, Susmies has been turning heads with daring jewellery and clothing that feels genuinely unlike anything else in the market. Think creative gold earrings, bold patterns, one-of-a-kind cuts, and truly fabulous pieces from the independent Barcelona designer's who refuses to play it safe. Every collection carries that same spirit - playful, fearless, and entirely its own thing.

Why I Started This Cool Shop

I always found myself looking for unique, but stylish pieces from outside the mainstream. The masquerade of the same three brands became boring, incredibly uninteresting, and I started to feel like everyone was dressing and looking the same. There is a lack of individuality, in many things, but most noticeably, fashion.

So a hobby of scouring the internet and instagram to find small brands that sell unique, creative pieces became my new thing. I often found myself drawn to international brands that let their country shine through there pieces - like Susmies does with Spain. After this scouring of the internet went on, I decided to make a boutique dedicated to it called This Cool Shop because it really is pretty cool.

My favorite Pieces From The Initial Launch

Havana Dress - Flowy, fun, polka dots. The lightweight material makes for the perfect flowy dress (or can be worn as a skirt).

Saint-Tropez Hoops - I wear these all the time! Beautiful big gold hoops with a cool pearl.

Ireland Necklace - You can see it from across the room - ethereal.

Seville Ring - Silver signet stamped with one word that says it all - Olé. Bold, unapologetic, and unmistakably Spanish.
