What To Pack For Autumn In New England
Autumn is New England is truly magical. The foliage, crisp weather, fall activities, and adorable towns scattered throughout the region make a New England trip in the fall so worth it. Growing up in Boston, I have learned that the only thing, weather wise, you can predict in New England is that it is unpredictable. One day it will be 70 and sunny, and the next it will be 40 and rainy. So packing can be a bit difficult. In this guide we will go over what to pack for autumn in New England. What To Pack For Autumn In New England
1. Coat
You need layers on any trip to New England. A Coat is a must (especially in the fall). If you are in need of a new one, I love this North Face one!
2. Long Sleeves
Again, with the layers. Seriously, they are a lifesaver! I wear this long sleeve shirt all the time in New England.
3. Jeans
Practical, but a must. These jeans from Madewell are so comfy and go with everything.
4. Sweaters
Obviously you need a sweater on your fall New England vacation. I mean, who doesn't want to wear a sweater. I wear this one all the time.
5. Boots
If you are going into more rural areas in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire, rain boots or hiking boots are a must (especially if you plan on doing hiking).
6. Winter Hats
For when it randomly gets cold you will need a winter hat. I love this one.
7. Tank Tops
I always wear tank tops under my sweaters because you never know when it will become summer again in New England.
8. Sweatshirts
I'll be honest, in New England we are very casual. And for the most part we wear sweatshirts. So if you love to be comfy you will love fall in the northeast. Also, this is my favorite sweatshirt ever.
9. Leggings/Sweatpants
You need these for travel days! They especially come in handy if you are doing a New England road trip. I love these sweatpants.
10. Camera
I know a camera is a big purchase, but I am so glad that I have mine. I love this one.
11. Cozy Socks
Who doesn't love cozy socks. These ones are so warm and comfy.
