I visited Charleston in October and in June both times were fine but, October was better.

The best airport to fly into while going to Charleston is the Charleston International Airport. You can find non-stop flights from all over the United States and Canada that go to Charleston. I flew Jetblue non-stop from Boston on my first trip to Charleston.
