About Palm Beach

Plugs - Type A & B

Safety - Palm Beach is very safe. Just take normal precautions!

When To Go To Palm Beach

South Florida in the winter and spring (December - April) is best. My favorite month in Florida is March because of the perfect weather and lack of seaweed in the ocean.

Summer and fall in Florida is extremely hot and it is hurricane season so I do not recommend visiting then.

The holidays are very well done in Palm Beach. The decorations and the holiday activities are flawless in shopping plazas and hotels.

Where To Stay In Palm Beach

best palm beach hotels
The Breakers

Luxury Palm Beach Hotel The Breakers - The Breakers might be the best hotel I have ever stayed at and it is my top choice when visiting Palm Beach. The decor is elegantly antique, the appliances are flawless, and the service is incredible. The Breakers is a mansion straight out of the Great Gatsby... except in Florida.

Middle Range Palm Beach Hotel The White Elephant - The White Elephant is much smaller than the Breakers and a bit more affordable. You will have clean and comfortable rooms, Palm Beach style decor, and amazing service. I have stayed in the White Elephant on Nantucket and it was amazing, so be sure to checkout the Palm Beach location if you are looking for something a little less pricey than the Breakers.

Middle Range Palm Beach Hotel Eau Palm Beach Resort - Eau is a huge resort with two pools located on the water. Perfect for a family vacation Eau Palm Beach Resort has all of the amenities you can think of - a stunning spa, kids club, restaurants, bars, and more.

Budget Palm Beach Hotel The Ambassador Hotel - The Ambassador Hotel is budget friendly, but still pricey in my book. Located on the water you will have everything you need at the Ambassador Hotel - a swimming pool, beach access, restaurant, bar, fitness center, and more.

What To Do In Palm Beach

Worth Ave

worth ave

Worth Ave is a ritzy shopping area located right next to the beach and within walking distance of many hotels such as the White Elephant and The Breakers. You will find high end stores like Gucci, Lilly Pulitzer, Akris, Aerin, and more on Worth Ave.

There are no affordable shops or restaurants on Worth Ave, I just like to window shop and enjoy the atmosphere. Wandering through Worth Ave is a treat because of the Spanish architecture, beautiful flowers, and lovely lounging spaces. Be sure to walk down the inviting alleyways to find stunning gardens and more shops.

Palm Beach Lake Trail

The Palm Beach Lake Trail is the perfect running, walking, and biking route. Spanning 9 miles, the Palm Beach Lake Trail is located on the westside of Palm Beach Island and gives you a great view of the city and water.

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum

The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, or Whitehall is a 100,000 square foot 75 room mansion sitting adjacent to The Breakers. Whitewall was built in 1886 and gives us a look into the past of Palm Beach.

The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is a must see on you weekend in Palm Beach, and perfect for a rainy day.

The Square

the square

The Square is located across the bridge in West Palm Beach. In The Square you will find great restaurants and more affordable shopping.

Some of my favorite restaurants in the square are El Camino, True Food Kitchen, and City Pizza.

For shopping you will find stores like Anthropologie, lululemon, and H&M. I forgot to bring a swimsuit on my weekend to Palm Beach, so the Square saved me with some affordable options.

Norton Museum of Art

The Norton Museum of Art holds exhibitions that change from season to season, programs for locals such as art classes, and an insanely good restaurant.

The current exhibitions on display are Past Lives: Performance Art through the Camera, Classic Blues: Cobalt Blue Porcelain and Indigo-Dyed Textiles, and Symbolic Messages in Chinese Animal Paintings.

The Restaurant at the Norton Museum of Art is no museum cafeteria. The atmosphere is sleek and modern, diners have the option to eat indoors or in the beautiful Robert B. Goergen Garden. The food is exquisite, made by former lead chef at the Breakers, Chef Jair Solis Mendoza. The Restaurant at the Norton Museum of Art offers private dining as well.

Go To The Beach

With crystal clear water and white sand the beaches in Palm Beach are spectacular, and a must visit on your weekend in Palm Beach. The beaches in Palm Beach are known for being very quiet and for the most part, seaweed free. Depending on the time of year you visit you will either have a lot of seaweed or a little. You will find the most seaweed in June and July.

Going to the beach is free. If you are from the northeast you will know that there is usually a fee to enter the beach, but in Florida it is free.
