Norse Atlantic Airways Review: A Comprehensive Guide to Budget-Friendly Flights
If you are looking for an inexpensive way to travel far distances then you have probably come across Norse Atlantic Airways. Norse provides cheap flight options for long haul flights. The most common routes are across the pond from the USA to Europe, but they also have flights to South Africa and Thailand. The two year old airline began in Norway and has since found success in providing budget friendly flights. Read on for our Norse Atlantic Airways review.

This post is all about your Norse Atlantic Airways Review.
About Norse Atlantic Airways
Frequent Flyer Program - Norse does not offer a Frequent Flyer Program. This is most likely because it is a budget airline.
Alliance - Norse is not in a alliance. It is, however, partnered with low cost airlines (easyjet, Spirit, Aegean, and Norwegian) in Europe and the USA to help travelers book easier.
Where To Book - Book on the Norse website at flynorse.com
Booking Your Flight
Booking a Norse flight is pretty much the same as booking any other kind of flight. You put in all your info and you get your confirmation. It is similar to booking with Spirit or a budget airline as it asks you to add things on a million times. If you plan on bringing bags, book them online because they do check at the airport and you will have to pay more if you bring too many.
Always book your flight on the airlines website. This is the Norse Atlantic Airways Website.
Pre-Flight

Once you book your flight you will get an email with your confirmation code. Once you get closer to the flight you will get emails asking if you want to upgrade your seat.
Usually twenty four hours before any flight you will get a check in notice. With Norse I didn't get a check in email, I panicked a bit. I thought I booked my flight for the wrong day! This is normal though. With Norse you check in at the ticket counter at the airport and they will give you a physical boarding pass. They also double check your bags here - so there is no sneaking extra baggage on the plane.
Norse Atlantic Airways Check In

You need to get to the airport early when flying with Norse. The line to get your boarding pass can sometimes be lengthy. In fact, some people missed their flight because the line was so long. When I was flying out of London Gatwick the line was around 40 minutes. When I was flying out of JFK the line was only about 2 minutes, so it really depends on the day. Overall just get to the airport early.
If you have a Premium ticket you will be in a shorter line.
The Terminals
Norse uses the budget terminals. Honestly I loved it. The crowds where lighter, security was easy, and there was more space to lounge about.
The Plane

I am not much of a plane expert. I know there are some weirdos who are fascinated with aviation. The plane that Norse uses is the trusty Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Dreamliner is safe and eco friendly.
With economy on Norse you will get 32 inches of legroom and a tv with your seat. Considering the price this is pretty great. With a Premium ticket you will get 42 inches of legroom and a lie flat seat.
Food and Drinks

If you have an economy ticket there is no food or drinks included with your ticket, but you can buy some on the plane. You can also buy gifts and souvenirs on the flight. On the TV there is a online shop, it's pretty cool.
Premium guests get complimentary meals and drinks.
The Flight Attendants
The crew was amazing on my Norse Flight! They were welcoming, attentive, and kind. You wouldn't expect these flight attendants on such an inexpensive flight. Also I loved there ice blue uniforms.
Norse Airways Destinations
Norse offers budget long haul flights. Their destinations include:
USA: New York City, Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas
Europe: Oslo, London, Berlin, Athens, Paris, Rome,
Asia: Bangkok
Africa: Cape Town
Should I Book A Norse Atlantic Airways Flight?
Yes! Honestly, I cannot believe how cheap this airline is for how good they are. You feel like you are on any other airline minus the food and check in process.
