Niagara Falls Travel Guide
Niagara Falls is on almost every travelers bucket list. The jaw dropping waterfalls situated on the Canadian New York border is a must visit for anyone traveling to North America. I was lucky enough to visit the spectacular falls on my trip to Buffalo, New York and was honestly blown away by the size and power of them. I was expecting them to be really amazing, but much smaller. Read on to discover your Niagara Falls Travel Guide.

Niagara Falls is truly amazing! This Niagara Falls Travel Guide will cover everything you need to know to have the best experience at the natural wonder.
Best Time To Visit Niagara Falls

☁️May - November
The best time to visit Niagara Falls is definitely during the summer or fall. During the summer the weather is warm so you will have a much better experience at the falls then during the winter. The Fall is, overall, the best time to see the Falls because the weather is great and the crowds are lighter than during the summer months - it will also be cheaper to visit!
I would just avoid the winter because you have to remember you are on the Canadian border - it is absolutely freezing during the winter. To fully experience Niagara Falls you will be outside for hours - exploring the park, rapids, and the falls themselves, and being outside in Canada during the winter is not fun.
Getting To Niagara Falls

⭐Overall the easiest way to see Niagara Falls is on the New York Side
Niagara Falls is in both Canada and the United States. Some people opt to see the falls on both sides (I did for the sake of this guide) but it's not really necessary. I preferred the New York Side, however the hotels on the Canadian side are better.

Canadian Side - To get to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side the best airport to fly into is the Toronto Airport (1.5 hours from Niagara Falls). From there you can rent a car and drive, take the train, or take a bus. If you don't want to deal with all the transportation you can always just take a tour from Toronto.
New York Side - If you are visiting from the US the best airport to fly into is the Buffalo Airport (30 mins from Niagara Falls). From the airport you can rent a car and drive or take a bus. I recommend renting a car because the bus takes about two hours as it has a lot of stops. You could also take this tour from Buffalo.

Best Viewpoints In Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls Observation Tower - The Niagara Falls Observation Tower is, in my opinion, the best spot to marvel at the falls. Located on the New York side, the Observation Tower juts out from the cliff and gives to a sunning birds eye view of Niagara Falls.
Skylon Tower - Located in the Canadian side, Skylon Tower is 520 foot tower that gives you a 360 degree view of the falls. You can also enjoy a meal at the luxurious restaurant at the top of the tower.
By Boat - Seeing Niagara Falls by boat is both terrifying and captivating. So you must do it. The only way to see the falls via boat is by booking a tour. I did this one and loved it!
By Helicopter - Seeing Niagara Falls from the sky is incredible. You can book Helicopter tours on both the Canadian and New York side and they are shockingly affordable.
