My 2025 Travel Bucket List

Okay 2025, we have a lot of planning to do. If you are like me traveling is your motivation to get through everyday burdens. I travel because I love to learn, explore the world, and meet new people. My 2025 Travel Bucket List has all of the up and coming destinations and is great destination inspiration for any of my readers.

This post is all about my 2025 travel bucket list.

Mexico City

Mexico City is on my 2025 travel bucket list because of it's intense culture. Known for its traditional mexican food, impressive art scene, and picturesque parks, Mexico City is an up and coming destination. Mexico City is becoming popular with digital nomads because of the quality of living and inexpensive living costs. Americans are also relocating to Mexico City.

While in Mexico City I hope to visit the Museo Nacional de Antropología, Zócalo Plaza, and Templo Mayor Museum.

Guatemala

Guatemala is a backpackers paradise! Known for its stunning nature, inexpensive prices and friendly locals, Guatemala should be on everyone's travel bucket list. While Guatemala is a beautiful place to visit be sure to take safety precautions, especially if you are solo female traveler.

While in Guatemala I hope to visit Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Tikal National Park, and Acatenango Volcano.

Bermuda

bermuda

I have been dying to go to Bermuda because of the pink sand beaches, turquoise water, and world renowned crystal caves. Bermuda is very pricey, so keep that in mind. Bermuda is an easy weekend trip from the East Coast USA. A flight from New York City to Bermuda is only 90 minutes. A Cheap way to do Bermuda is a cruise, then you won't have to pay for an insanely expensive hotel on the island.

While in Bermuda I hope to hike the Railway Trail, visit Horseshoe Bay, and go cliff jumping.

Budapest

Budapest has been on my travel bucket list for years and I have still not checked it off. Home to geothermal pools, gorgeous architecture, and incredible cuisine, Budapest truly is a unique city. Budapest is an easy train ride away from Vienna so you could easily combine these two cities in one trip.

While in Budapest I hope to visit the geothermal pools, the New York Cafe, and Buda Castle.

Morocco

morocco

Morocco has become a popular destination over the years because of the diversity of the country, natural beauty, and interiging architecture. You can find the Sahara Desert and many tours you can do of the desert in Morocco. This trekking tour with camels looks amazing. If you are into surfing there are so many affordable surf camps you can do along the Moroccan coast.

While in Morocco I hope to visit Chefendonan (the blue city), Fez, Marrakesh, and Essaouira.

Madagascar

madagascar

Madagascar is a beautiful, yet poverty stricken country off of east Africa. I would love to visit Madagascar because of the richness of flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world. Flora and Fauna, "maintains ecological balance. We all share the same planet, and while nature can exist without us, we cannot exist without nature." - Conserve Energy Future. You can read all about Flora and Fauna here. Madagascar is also home to some of the world's most beautiful beaches.

While in Madagascar I hope to visit Antananarivo, Nosy Be, and Tsingy De Bemaraha National Park.

Otter Trail, South Africa

Otter Trail South Africa

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do and some of the best hikes in the world are in South Africa. Due to the dramatic coastline and rare wildlife South Africa makes for an incredible hike. The Otter Trail is just east of Cape Town and is situated along the coast, so you can imagine that the views are incredible.

While hiking the Otter Trail I hope to see the famous South African Penguins!

Cape Breton Island, Canada

Cape Breton Island is a nature lovers dream. The rugged coastline along the sea, and the green forests that expand for miles will make your jaw drop. Cape Breton is home to some beautiful hikes and great golfing. It is not yet too touristy during the summer months so you should be able to get a decent price on accommodation.

While on Cape Breton Island I hope to hike the Skyline Trail and visit the Historic Lighthouse.

Bibbulmun Trek, Australia

austrailia

The Bibbulmun Trek is a 621 mile (1000 km) trek in southwest Australia. The trek starts in Perth, Australia and ends in Albany. The hike will take up to 8 weeks if you plan to do the whole thing. I hope to do a variation and also explore Perth.

In Perth I hope to visit the presine beaches, Heirisson Island, and Queens Garden.

Laugavegurinn, Iceland

Iceland

Laugavegurinn is a 34 mile hike in southern Iceland. I have visited Iceland briefly in the past but I would love to explore this amazing country more. The Laugavegurinn Trail seems like the perfect way to do that. During the Laugavegurinn Trail you will visit geothermal springs and an active volcano. The hike will take about 3 days and will require camping.

Cotswold Way, England

Another trek on my 2025 travel bucket list is Cotswold Way In England. Starting in Bath and ending in Chipping Campden, this 102 mile hike will take you around 7 days to complete.

While hiking Cotswold Way I look forward to visiting the picturesque villages along the way.

Italian Dolomites

A great alternative to the Swiss Alps is the the Italian Dolomites, a gorgeous mountain range in Northern Italy. The Dolomites are 6,155 square miles and stretch from Northern Italy to southern Austria. While there is no one route to take in the Dolomites there are many hikes to choose from.

While in The Dolomites I hope to hike Corno Bianco, Alta Via Del Monzoni, san Nicole, and Lake Sorapis.
